Management - the true test for measuring and managing the health of a
business"
The
analysis of pathologies from referrals and health screening will provide
a useful overall picture of what a business' health issues are.
However, it should be stressed that this is merely a "snap-shot".
A more complete picture can be gained through Sickness Absence
Management data which may also identify individual problem cases which
require further management, e.g. the frequent short-term absentee, and
we assist with management of these issues.
The service can be
designed so that all certification, whether a MED 3 or
self-certification, is forwarded immediately to the OH Department where
clinical screening will be carried out. The certificates are
examined to determine whether referring trigger points are met and if so
they then enter the OH assessment process. This has the advantage
of assisting line managers and HR in managing individual cases in a
timely manner.
All of the
information is collated onto a database and from that an analysis of
the anonymised statistics is made to gain a more accurate picture of the
health of the business. This would normally be performed by the lead
clinician with periodic reports being provided to the client at agreed
intervals e.g. quarterly. Discussions would then be arranged in the
light of those reports.
